TINLEY PARK ROCKERS
ROUND ROBIN RULES
Tournament Director: Brian McGrail
Cell #: 708-945-6816
1.)
General: As long as both managers agree and clear it with the umpire, you are free to agree to any official rules modifications that do not present undue risk of harm to participants or spectators.
2.)
Continous Batting Order: All players on the team may bat but must stay in the same order that you start with. Teams may play with less than 9 subject to Rule #1 above.
3.)
Free Substitution: Any player in the batting order may play any defensive position in the field at any time.
4.)
Time Limits: Each game will have an 80-minute drop dead time limit. Official scores will revert back to the last completed inning unless the home team moved ahead in the uncompleted inning.
5.)
Home Team: Home Team will be determined by coin flip with umpire prior to the game. Dugout selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
6.)
Pinch Runners: A team may run for the pitcher or catcher at any time with the player who made the last out, but the same player cannot run for both in the same inning. If the player who made the last out was the pitcher or the catcher, the next previous out may be used. If pinch runners are necessary for other players in the game, please discuss it in accordance with Rule #1 above.
7.)
Warm-up Pitches: Please limit warm-up pitches to 5 at the start of the game and 3 between innings so that we can keep the games moving. A new pitcher in the game may also take 5 warm-up pitches.
8.)
Mercy Run Rule: Since these games are designed to get all teams some competitive work in early in the Spring, the managers can decide if/when to call a game due to a Mercy Run Rule. If there is time left on the clock and both managers want to continue, that is fine.
9.)
Protests: There are no protests. Umpire decisions are final as are the decisions of the tournament director.
10.)
Personal Conduct: No alcoholic beverages are allowed on site and there is no smoking in the dugouts. Please make sure to clean up the dugout and around the field after your game. Let's leave the fields cleaner than they were when we arrived.
11.)
Weather Issues: In case of inclement weather, every effort will be made to contact all teams as soon as possible. The Tournament Director's name and number are listed above if you need to call. If you are unable to reach the Tournament Director, please contact the Tinley Park Rockers Manager for your age group.
